Rutgers to host adoption conference Nov. 6
The second annual “Lets’ Talk Adoption” conference will be held Nov. 6, 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., at Rutgers University’s Busch campus, Piscataway.
Sponsored by Concerned Persons for Adoption, New Jersey Interagency Adoption Council, and the Rutgers University School of Social Work, the conference is intended for pre- and post-adoptive parents, adoptees, birth parents, and child welfare professionals.
Keynote speaker Patricia Martinez Dorner will present “Facilitating and Strengthening Adoption Communication in the Family,” and there will be 36 workshops covering domestic and international adoption, parenting, adoptee experiences, and professional issues.
