Clarksburg Inn to host comedy night Sept. 17

The Clarksburg Inn, Millstone, will present another night of comedy featuring musical comedian Gary Delena along with comedian Chris Rich and the night’s master of ceremonies, Jim Johnson.

Delena has performed at Caroline’s on Broadway and at the Stress Factory Comedy Club as well as with the National Lampoon Touring Company, and his television credits include Comedy Central’s “Make Me Laugh.”

Rich is a former theatrical performer who incorporates a background in theater and music into her stand-up comedy. Her credits include opening for Jerry Seinfeld and Roseanne. She also has appeared on Comedy Central and on ABC’s “The View.”

Johnson is a recent college graduate who produces a morning radio program and has performed at Comedy Cabaret and CoffeedotComedy.

The event is slated for Sept. 17, and the inn is located on Stagecoach Road/Route 524. Tickets are $20, or $15 with the purchase of an entree. For reservations, call (609) 259-2558.

Millstone Elks have fish

fry on menu for Sept. 10

The Millstone Elks Lodge 2613 will resume its Friday night dinners on Sept. 10, 6-8 p.m., with a fish fry by the CrossPile Hunt Club.

The following menu is planned for the remaining Fridays in September and October: chicken and ribs by Scotty on Sept. 17, a Hungarian dinner by the Ladies Auxiliary on Sept. 24, Italian Night by the Convention Committee on Oct. 1, a fish fry by CrossPile Hunt Club on Oct. 8, Octoberfest by the 25th Anniversary Committee on Oct. 15, roast beef and pork by the Ladies Auxiliary on Oct. 22, and chicken and ribs by Scotty on Oct. 29.

The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children under age 10, with proceeds benefiting charities supported by the Elks Club.

yoga, golf, drama, more

The Roosevelt Community Education and Recreation Coalition is offering various recreation programs this fall. Classes include adult yoga, youth golf lessons, youth drama, and an adult/youth bowling program. Family trips are also being planned.
