Mrs. Rover, 69, of Howell, died April 5 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Manalapan before moving to Howell. She was a self-employed seamstress for 25 years. She was predeceased in 1981 by her husband, Martin, and in 1997 by a sister, Barbara Vaquer. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Peggy Rover of Maineville, Ohio; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Michael Fachler of Freehold, Diane and Bruce Terry of Greenwich, Conn., Joanne and Stephen Arbachesky of Wall, and Beth and Peter Richard of Venice, Fla.; a sister, Marilyn Rosenberg of Upper Saddle River; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.

Elizabeth G. Burdge

Mrs. Burdge, 81, of Farmingdale died April 14 at Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center, Wall Township. Born in Philadelphia, she was a lifelong Farmingdale resident. Prior to retiring in 1990, she was a waitress at Mr. Steak, Freehold Township. She was predeceased in 2001 by her husband, Albert L. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Woodrow W. and Mary Ann Scheidt Jr. of Farmingdale; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda E. and Dwight Sledge of High Point, N.C., and Sarah Jean and John Paradise of Farmingdale; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Ronald L. and Edna Burdge, also of Farmingdale; a brother, Thomas R. Knox Jr. of Pottstown, Pa.; a stepsister, Patti Anderson of Howell; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia section of Howell, with the Rev. Harvey Kelley officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.William Frederick Palmer

Mr. Palmer, 71, of Kissimmee, Fla., died April 7 at home. Born in the Perrineville section of Millstone, he had lived in Jackson before moving to Florida 16 years ago. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He was also an exempt member of the Jackson Mills Volunteer Fire Company. He was predeceased in 1983 by his first wife, Beatrice Olson Palmer. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Satallante Palmer; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Jill Palmer of Jackson, and Kenny Palmer of Barboursville, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Edward Lawrence of Cream Ridge, and Marybeth and Roy Malott of Toms River; a stepdaughter and her husband, Gina Fabian and Hector Ruiz of Kissimmee; a brother, Richard J. Palmer of Millstone; three sisters, Emma F. Palmer and Madelyn P. Gilbert, both of Millstone; and Elizabeth C. McCabe of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, followed by interment at the church cemetery. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements. George Simonow

Mr. Simonow, 77, of Howell died April 7 at Fountain View Care Center, Lakewood. Born in Yugoslavia, he had lived in Manhattan, N.Y., before moving to Howell three years ago. He was a member of St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Church, Howell. Surviving are his former wife, Natalie Simonow of Howell; a son and daughter-in-law, Boris and Doreen Simonow of Howell; and three granddaughters. Funeral services were held at St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Howell, followed by burial at St. Vladimir Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Jackson. C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia section of Howell, was in charge of arrangements.
