Mr. Mirro, 81, of Hazlet died Dec. 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Kearny, he resided in Union Beach prior to moving to Hazlet 57 years ago. He was a self-employed contractor with Local Union No. 2250, Red Bank, for several years, retiring in 1987. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. He was a member of Local Carpenters Union No. 2250. Mr. Mirro was predeceased by his first wife, Margarite V. Mirro, in 1971; and two brothers, Frank Mirro in 2003 and Jack Mirro in 2000. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Borelli-Benenati Mirro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Lee Mirro of Freehold, and Thomas and Susan Mirro of Millstone; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dennis Morgan of Ocean; a sister, Alice Brown of Tucson; a brother, Robert Mirro of Colts Neck; a stepson and his wife, Anthony and Michelle Schiatone of Long Branch; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Interment took place at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.
