additions and new construction:

Proposed alterations to the present

elementary school:

• Renovate 6 classrooms

• Increase size of rooms by 200 sq. ft.

• Add bathrooms

• Add telephone communication to all classrooms

• Bring video to each classroom

• Site improvements for drop-off and pick-up of students

Proposed additions and alterations

to the present middle school:

• Add 4 classrooms

• Add 4 small group instructional classrooms

• Renovate 2 classrooms into small group instructional classrooms

• Renovate boys’ and girls’ locker rooms into small group instructional classrooms

• Renovate 3 specialized rooms into classrooms

• Renovate the cafeteria

• Add telephone communication to all classrooms

• Bring video to each classroom

Proposed new middle school

will include:

• 28 Classrooms

• 3 special education classrooms

• 10 small group instruction

classrooms

• 4 science labs

• 2 science classrooms

• 2 applied technology labs

• Computer lab

• 3 portable laptop labs

• Vocal and instrumental music rooms

• Art room

• 2 multi-station gymnasiums

(also available for public use)

• Cafeteria for 300 students

• Instructional media center

• Auditorium with 1,200 seats

• Guidance office

• Health services center

• Building administration area

• Video production room

• District administrative offices

• Telephone communication to all classrooms

• Video to each classroom

Proposed Transportation Facility-

• Office

• Drivers’ lounge

• 3-bay service garage

• Secure bus parking for 48 vehicles

• Employee parking for 60 vehicles

New primary school-

pre-kindergarten through second-grade students.

Elementary school-

third-grade through fifth-grade

Middle school-

Sixth-grade through eighth-grade

Referendum costs

Total cost of project: $46,518,647

State will provide: $6,618,647

Taxpayers share: $39,900,000

If the referendum passes, residents will see a tax increase of 14 cents per $100 of assessed property value.

For a resident with a home assessed at $400,000, the tax increase will be

$560 per year, or $46.67 per month.
