John B. Pickens Jr.

John B. Pickens Jr., 55, of Clarksburg died Sept. 11 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Dallas, Texas, he lived in the Millstone-Freehold area for over 25 years. He was employed as a purchasing manager for Old Bridge Chemical Co. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, he was an avid deep sea fisherman. Son of the late John B. Sr. and Eva Jane Guill Pickens, he is survived by his wife, Maureen C. Pickens; a son, Jon Marcus Pickens of Clarksburg; two daughters, Jessica M. Pickens of Clarksburg and Asha Lynn King of Houston, Texas; and a stepmother, Mary Pickens of Houston. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Cremation was private.
