Resident: Proposed site for bus depot is unsuitable

I am an extremely concerned resident of Roberts Road and would like to highlight several reasons why I don’t want or need this commercial/industrial bus depot in my neighborhood. I believe the School Board should give serious thought to:

A facility of 60 buses would significantly increase traffic on our narrow residential road.

There is a strong possibility of ground and well-water pollution from the facility. The site being considered backs into wetlands that feed the Millstone River.

Our quiet community would be subjected to noise and air quality issues (pollution) due to all of the buses.

Road improvements that would be required will add to the already significant tax increase — this would overburden residents.

This facility would also be detrimental to wildlife in the area and would be potentially dangerous to horses that are often ridden through the area.

We ask that the School Board be a good neighbor in our "environmentally concerned" community. This commercial/industrial facility does not belong in the midst of our residential area ... particularly considering that it would be anything but centrally located.
