9/11 Resource Center moves to new location

The Monmouth County September 11 Resource Center recently held a community open house at its new location on the main campus of Brookdale Community College, Lincroft. The center has moved to Room 101 south of the Main Academic Complex Center (MAC).

The open house was also an opportunity to reintroduce the resource center to the community. The center is a collaborative effort of the Monmouth County Board of Freeholders, Brookdale Community College, Catholic Charities, the Monmouth County September 11 Response Task Force and the United Way of Monmouth County. The center was established to assist those affected by the tragic events of Sept. 11 by providing services that may include referrals for counseling, support groups, financial assistance and general information.

Trained staff from Catholic Charities and the United Way will be at the center Mondays 3-7 p.m. and Fridays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition, anyone may call the center Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Appointments are not necessary.For more information, call Jeffrey tanner, MCRC coordinator, at (732) 224-1807 or visit the Web site www.mcseptember11.org.
