Students sought for peer leadership conference
The New Jersey State Elks Association is looking for students to attend the ninth annual Peer Leadership Conference Feb. 7-9 in New Brunswick. The goal of the conference is to develop and implement an alcohol, tobacco, and drug use prevention program within the community. The conference includes three keynote speakers, workshops concerning alcohol and drug peer pressure, a talent show, a scavenger hunt, and a dance with DJ music. The New Jersey State Elks Association will provide all meals and accommodations. The conference is open to any student in grades 9-12 with a recommendation from their teacher or guidance counselor.
