Former committeeman endorses Staib, Grbelja

Millstone Township’s outlook, its residents’ quality of life, our children’s education and the environment in which we live are of utmost importance, now more than ever under the pressures of growth. Whether we succeed or fail at achieving the absolute best for our community is very much dependent upon those elected officials with whom we entrust our future. We are at a crossroads, and the route down which we will be taken is highly dependent upon this year’s elective process, starting with Primary Day, June 4.

My endorsement for the Millstone Township Committee Republican line goes to Nancy Grbelja and Roger K. Staib. Both have been actively participating in community matters utilizing their talents, skills and time to achieve the community goals that most of us cherish. Both display the "right stuff" so necessary to get us through the difficult times ahead and to the end result we want — a desirable community with tolerable taxes, outstanding schools, the right mix of conveniences yet retention of the rural qualities that attracted us here.

As a former committeeman, I know firsthand what is necessary to get the job done, and these two outstanding candidates exhibit the requisite attitudes, abilities and aptitudes.

From the same perspective as a former committeeman, I know exactly what hasn’t been done and what has become a "giant step" backward for Millstone Township. Government has become less open, spending has reached unprecedented and unnecessary levels, school growth has been poorly addressed, housing growth has continued unabated and our environment has suffered.

A change is essential. It’s a matter of survival. Vote for Staib and Grbelja on June 4.
