      Allentown boys finish off a successful season Redbirds notch playoff win over Rumson-Fair Haven High School

           The Millstone Lightning, an U10 girls soccer team, remained unbeaten for the fall with wins over the East Windsor Amazons, 4-1, and the Colts Neck Hurricanes, 1-0. Against East Windsor, Millstone opened the scoring when Jordan Blair scored on a cross from Anna Paternostro. Brittani Campelo made it 2-0 at halftime when she finished on a Kristen Taft corner kick. Marissa Canzano provided the assist to Christa Bonham, who netted goal No. 3. After the Amazons scored, Kaitlyn McGinn scored on a cross from Nikki Ruffler for the 4-1 final. Christa Bonham had the lone goal against Colts Neck, with the assists from McGinn. Allie Winfree, Erin Wolfe and Chelsea DiFran-cessco provided constant offensive pressure. Strong defense came from Samantha Martin, Meghan Gallagher and Taft, holding their opponents to two goals for the season. Goalie Marisa Waldie has six shutouts in eight games. The Lightning have outscored opponents, 24-2, on the year, and hold an 8-0 record. Don Powell is the coach of the team.
