Pianist Anita Cervantes will appear in solo recital to benefit the Roosevelt Borough Bulletin newspaper at 8 p.m. Nov. 10 at Roosevelt Borough Hall, North Rochdale Avenue.
The program will reprise some of the music from Cervantes’ Nov. 3 concert, part of the Smithsonian Institution’s "Piano 300" exhibit in Washington, D.C., as well as works of New Jersey composers Olga Gorelli, Laurie Altman and Brad Garton. Holiday boutique will
feature handmade items
St. James’ Episcopal Church, Yardville, will hold its annual holiday boutique from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11 at the church, 1040 Yardville-Allentown Road. The event will feature handmade ornaments and gift items, baked goods and a "secret store" for children to purchase gifts for their family members. Santa will be available for photos from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A light lunch will also be available.
Community blood drive
to be held in Allentown
A community blood drive will be conducted by Central Jersey Blood Center from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 4 at the Union A.M.E. Church, 72 Church St., Allentown. Donors should eat before donating and should bring identification with signature. For more information, call the blood center at (732) 842-5750.
Seminar to discuss
child support program
The Divorce Recovery Support Group will sponsor a seminar on the New Jersey Child Support Program at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Princeton Church of Christ, 33 River Road, Princeton. Child care is available, but reservations are required. The support group will also hold open discussions at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and Nov. 24 at the church. Pasta is on the menu
Nov. 5 in Roosevelt
The Roosevelt Community Nursery School will hold its annual Pasta Night from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 5 at Roosevelt Borough Hall. All are invited to attend. The menu will feature baked ziti, eggplant parmesan, pasta Florentine, spaghetti, meatballs, salad, fresh-baked bread from Rossi’s and homemade baked goods.
Tickets are $7; for children under age 10 the cost is $4. Take-out orders will also be available; call (609) 448-0561 starting at 3:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the nursery school.
