Day of poetry planned for April 29 at library MANALAPAN — Billy Collins will be the featured reader at "Joy of Poetry III," a day of workshops, readings and a poetry book fair, to be held from 10 am. to 5 p.m. April 29 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Symmes Drive. Billy Collins is the author of five books of poems. Collins’ poems have appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, American Poetry Review, Harper’s and Paris Review. For several years he has conducted summer poetry workshops at University College Galway in Ireland. The workshops are "Ancient Voices Singing Today’s Poems," led by Enid Dame, from 10-11 a.m.; and "The Infra-essence," led by Betty H. Neals, from 11 a.m. to noon. The events are free, and preregistration is not required. |
